Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Prism account from the PRISM mobile app or the web portal, and what happens to your information when you do — without needing to sign in.

Workers / Employees

You can delete your own account directly from the app:

1. Sign in and go to My Profile (mobile app: the Profile tab; web: prism.prismtalentgroup.com/employee/profile).
2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
3. Tap/click Delete My Account, then confirm.

You're logged out immediately and can't sign back in. If you can't access your account to do this yourself, email support@prismtalentgroup.com from the email address on file with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process it manually within 30 days.

Clients (Employer Portal Users)

Client portal accounts don't currently have a self-service delete button. Email support@prismtalentgroup.com from your account address with "Account Deletion Request" in the subject and we'll deactivate your login and process the request within 30 days.

What happens right away

• Your login is disabled immediately — you cannot sign back in, on mobile or web.
• Active sessions and mobile refresh tokens are revoked.
• Push notification delivery and all notification preferences are turned off, and your device push tokens are deleted.
• Any upcoming shift requests, invitations, or confirmed shifts are cancelled and the positions are reopened.
• Emergency contact name and phone number are erased.
• If you have an unpaid timesheet from the prior week, our HR/payroll team will follow up to pay you out before your account is fully closed.

What we keep, and why (California employer requirements)

Prism Talent Group is your employer of record while you work shifts through the platform. California and federal law require us to retain certain employment, tax, and pay records even after you ask to delete your account:

• Name, address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security Number, and payroll ID — retained for a minimum of 7 years after account closure (California wage and payroll recordkeeping requirements).
• Form I-9 employment eligibility records — retained for the later of 3 years after your hire date or 1 year after termination (8 C.F.R. § 274a.2).
• Timesheets, hours worked, and pay records — retained for a minimum of 3 years under the Fair Labor Standards Act and California Labor Code.
• Tax withholding forms (W-4, DE-4)

Everything else we don't have a legal obligation to keep — including your emergency contact details, notification preferences, and future app access — is removed or disabled at the time of deletion. Your account record itself is marked deleted/disabled rather than immediately purged from our database, so we can preserve an audit trail during the legally required retention window; it is not visible to clients, other employees, or anyone browsing the app.

Requesting full erasure later

Once the applicable legal retention period has passed, you may request that we fully erase any remaining data by emailing support@prismtalentgroup.com.
